A contracted physical therapy position is available in a school setting located in Pasco, WA, servicing students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This role involves providing primarily one-on-one therapy sessions, focusing on individualized care to support students' physical development and educational needs. Key responsibilities include conducting both therapy and evaluations, ensuring students receive comprehensive assessments and targeted interventions. The candidate will also engage in indirect work such as writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), accommodation programming, and other documentation required to support student progress. With a caseload of approximately 24 students across various grade levels, the role demands efficient time management and collaboration skills. Additional duties include Medicaid billing and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, where teachers often serve as case managers. While there may be some case management responsibilities, the primary focus remains on the therapy services provided. The district experiences some transient student populations, although it is not predominantly transient, which allows for continuity of care and relationship-building with students and staff.
