Hematology Oncology RN Navigator – Trios Health Care Center at
Southridge Job Type: FT | Days Wage scale: $36.73 – $74.89 per hour

lives of those we serve. Department/Unit Summary The RN Navigator
demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, vision and
values of the organization. They remain flexible to changing
systems – is expected to demonstrate quality, effectiveness in work
habits, clinical practices, and treats staff, physicians, patients
and families with consideration and respect. As allowed by their
licensure, prepares patients and assists during examinations,
treatment, procedures, patient navigation, clinical support,
limited surgical support function and/or diagnostic testing. -
Maintain current knowledge on oncology and hematology therapeutic
regimens. - Maintain current knowledge on side effects and symptoms
related to oncology and hematology therapeutic regimens. - Maintain
current knowledge base on side effects associated with surgery or
radiation treatments for oncology patients. - Assist physicians in
the health maintenance of patients in a complex disease state. -
Receive and screen all telephone requests for assistance by the
existing patient base. - Interview and assess patients for medical
interventions in the office and on the telephone. - Initiate
medical interventions based on a symptom-focused protocol or
guideline. - Educate and monitor patient compliance regarding
medical interventions. - Perform interviews for the physician
regarding current status of care by other providers. - Perform
closing interviews for the physician once the care plan has been
determined. - Monitor the psychosocial and emotional needs of the
oncology patient for outside referrals and additional care. -
Assist the physician with the medication management of the existing
patients. - Support and back-up of the Oncology Nurse Navigator. -
Chemotherapy ordering system superuser. - Practice Partner
superuser. - Perform quality improvement audits and tasks within
the clinic. - Assist in the pursuit of specialty drugs on behalf of
the patient. - Manage specialty drug requisites including patient
interviews, record keeping and reporting. How you’ll contribute

Qualifications and requirements Applicants should have a current
state RN license and possess a bachelor’s degree or associate
degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements
include: - BLS - 2 years Chemotherapy Infusion experience required
- 3-5 years Oncology experience required - ONS Chemo/BIO Provider
