Job Description LanceSoft is seeking a local contract Substance Use Counselor for a local contract job in Yakima, Washington. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Substance Use Counselor - Discipline: Therapy - Duration: 52 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days, nights, flexible - Employment Type: Local Contract Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) Location: Washington State Employment Type: Full-Time Pay Range: $25.00 – $33.00 per hour Sign-On Bonus: $2,000 New Graduates: Considered (with required certification) Position Overview The SUDP provides assessment, counseling, and treatment services for individuals experiencing substance use disorders. This role supports recovery through evidence-based interventions and long-term treatment planning. This is a safety-sensitive position and requires compliance with Washington State controlled substance testing regulations. Responsibilities - Conduct substance use assessments using ASAM criteria - Provide individual and group counseling - Develop and monitor treatment and recovery plans - Maintain accurate and compliant documentation - Collaborate with care teams and external agencies - Support clients through relapse prevention and recovery planning Qualifications - Required SUDP certification in Washington State - Knowledge of substance use disorders and recovery processes - Prior experience preferred - Strong communication and client-engagement skills About LanceSoft Established in 2000, LanceSoft is a Certified MBE and Woman-Owned organization.
