Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Hospice Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/26/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Hospice Registered Nurse – Washington State Start Date: January 26, 2026 Location: Walla Walla, Washington Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Full-time case management role; 4-5 patient visits per day managing a caseload of approximately 15 patients; possible weekends and call coverage Highlights: Manage a balanced caseload of 15 hospice patients with varied acuity levels Provide all service-level nursing care including routine, general inpatient (GIP), continuous, and respite care Perform admission assessments, start-of-care visits, and end-of-life death visits Service area covers a 60-mile radius with mileage reimbursement at IRS standard rate Same-day charting expectations to ensure timely documentation Opportunity to float to Oregon sites for clinicians with multi-state licensure Requirements: Active Washington or Compact RN license required; Oregon RN license highly preferred (application for Oregon licensure required upon contract acceptance) Minimum 1 year of current Hospice Case Management experience required American Heart Association BLS certification Acute care or Medical-Surgical experience highly preferred Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance Clean background check in Washington and Oregon Proof of Influenza, TB, and COVID-19 vaccination Successful completion of drug screening Why It's a Great Opportunity: This hospice nursing role offers the chance to make a profound impact on patients and families during one of life's most important transitions.
