Location: Our facility in Jefferson City, MO Employment Type: Regular Position Overview: This role involves providing patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician, while adhering to the limits of your professional license. Key Responsibilities and Qualifications: PRIMARY DUTIES Assist in evaluating patients and ensuring their overall well-being. Administer medications and monitor patients for any adverse reactions to treatments. Conduct laboratory tests and provide therapeutic services. Inform patients and their families about treatment plans, including self-care after discharge, holistic health needs, available resources, and follow-up care. Document the provider's interactions with patients, including diagnoses, symptoms, and discharge instructions as directed. Transcribe patient orders for laboratory tests, radiology, and medications, ensuring patient charts are updated with lab results and evaluations to facilitate treatment decisions. Record consultations or discussions with family members and/or the patient's private physician or on-call physician. Maintain a state of alertness and safety at all times. Perform additional tasks as assigned. Educational Background Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program or possess equivalent educational qualifications for licensing. Experience No prior experience is necessary. Physical Demands Regularly communicate verbally to convey information. Frequent standing and walking are required. Occasional lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling of objects weighing between 0-25 lbs. Regular sitting, reaching, and data entry on a keyboard. Frequent visual tasks requiring depth perception for both near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances, including color differentiation. Regularly use smell to identify odors. Frequently utilize hearing to receive verbal communication and detect body sounds or alarms. Occasional lifting of objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Occasional patient handling. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping, and repetitive movements of the legs and arms. Occasional driving may be required. Rarely involves crawling or running. Required Licenses and Certifications Location of Employment: Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by a Compact State.
