Pharmacy Tech Location: Richland, WA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,387 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position Job Title: Pharmacy Tech Profession: Pharmacy Specialty: Pharmacy Tech Inpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 08:00 - 16:30 Experience: Minimum 0.5 years of experience preferred License: Valid state or compact pharmacy technician license required Certifications: None specified Must-Have: USP 797 and USP 800 experience preferred Description: 1Y/1ST TIMER - Pharmacy Tech - Req 9787 This position will not float between units. No on-call requirement. Weekends are not required. Block schedules are not required. Expected patient ratio is 1:20. Previous charge experience is preferred but not required. Experience with any charting system is advantageous. Community hospital experience is preferred. Experience in inpatient or acute care is required. Knowledge of drug interactions and automation problem resolution is necessary. Familiarity with formulary approved product lists and National Drug Code (NDC) lot numbers is required. Understanding of ordering and receiving processes, including maintaining par levels and rotating stock is essential. Experience with removal processes such as recalls, returns, outdates, and reverse distribution is necessary. Knowledge of storage and labeling requirements is required. Experience in the order entry process and packaging requirements is preferred. Ability to prepare IV mixtures is required. Unit details include a daily census of 100 patients with 28 beds. Interdisciplinary support may be involved in patient care. Patient age groups primarily include adults and geriatrics. Unit specializes in hematology oncology and is equipped for HD admixture and non-HD admixture. Special equipment includes BSCLFHBD Optima. Candidates must be prepared to float within the facility when necessary. Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting is required.
