Medical Technologist Location: Richland, WA Agency: United Health Care Staffing Pay: $60 per hour Shift Information: Days Contract Duration: 13 Days Start Date: 3/23/2026 About the Position MRI Technologist – UHC Staffing MRI Technologist Location: Richland, WA Start Date: 03-23-2026 End Date: 06-22-2026 Contract Type: Travel Contract Shift Type: Rotating shifts including weekends: Day shifts (4x10) 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Night shifts (4x10) 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM. Variable 8/10/12-hour coverage depending on assignment; rotation includes occasional weekends and swing coverage. Roles & Responsibilities Perform high-quality MRI examinations across a broad range of clinical areas using Siemens MRI systems Prepare and administer contrast media safely and document appropriately in Epic Start peripheral IVs as needed to support contrast administration and patient care Operate and optimize MRI sequences (T1, T2, Spin Echo, Gradient Echo) to produce diagnostic images Apply image post-processing techniques (MPR, MIP, ADC mapping) to assist radiologist interpretation Follow radiation safety and infection control precautions to protect patients and staff Provide compassionate patient care across ages from neonates to geriatrics, including ER/Trauma and pediatric imaging Communicate findings and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support smooth patient flow Qualifications Minimum 3 years MRI technologist experience (travelers screened with at least 2 years) in acute care settings Proven experience with Siemens MRI systems Charting experience in Epic is required Comfortable with contrast preparation and administration and starting peripheral IVs Knowledge of radiation safety and standard infection precautions/PPE Experience in ER/Trauma, pediatric imaging, or Trauma Level II settings preferred Ability to work rotating shifts including days, swings, nights, and occasional weekends Travel assignment eligible and able to complete a 40-hour orientation Knowledge & Skills MRI imaging principles and Siemens equipment operation Contrast media preparation and safe administration Peripheral IV starts and venous access for contrast studies Epic charting and electronic documentation MRI sequences: T1, T2, Spin Echo, Gradient Echo, CINE, Diffusion Image post-processing: MPR, MIP, ADC mapping, subtraction techniques Special procedures: MR Cardiac (with and without stress/contrast), MR Aortogram, MR Pulmonary, MR Angio lower extremity Patient care across lifespan: neonatal through geriatric, ER/Trauma experience Benefits Comprehensive 40-hour orientation to get you confident and comfortable Licensure assistance and reimbursement to help keep your credentials current Travel reimbursement and gear guidance to make the move easy Flexible scheduling options so you can balance life and work Paid time off to recharge between assignments Supportive team culture that values your skills and growth Professional development opportunities and on-the-job learning Referral bonus program to reward you for bringing great people aboard Travel Perks: Explore Richland, WA Richland sits in the heart of the Columbia River plateau and is a great base for outdoor adventures and Pacific Northwest charm.
