Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Pharmacy Technician - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract Pharmacy Technician – Inpatient Hematology/Oncology Richland, WA Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days – 5x8s (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) No weekends | No call | No floating Position Overview Seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support the Hematology/Oncology department in an acute care setting. This role includes sterile compounding (hazardous and non-hazardous), order entry, inventory management, and automation support. First-time travelers are welcome. Unit Details - Specialty: Hematology / Oncology - Patient Ratio: 1:20 - Daily Census: ~100 - 28 beds - Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics - Orientation: 40 hours - No weekend shifts Key Responsibilities - Prepare hazardous (HD) and non-hazardous IV admixtures - Compound medications per USP 797 & USP 800 standards (preferred) - Perform order entry and labeling - Manage pharmacy inventory and maintain par levels - Rotate stock and process ordering/receiving - Handle recalls, returns, outdates, and reverse distribution - Support automation stocking and troubleshooting - Track National Drug Code (NDC) lot numbers - Ensure compliance with pharmacy law and regulation Equipment Used - Biological Safety Cabinet (BSC) - Laminar Flow Hood (LFH) - BD Optima Requirements ? Minimum 6 months inpatient or acute care pharmacy experience ? State Pharmacy Technician license (Required) ?
