This is a great contract-to-hire opportunity with a company of over 14,000 employees globally for an experienced Oracle DBA. During a contract with Arch Staffing you can expect to be offered competitive benefits and the highest level of personal care throughout your job and transition.
The primary function of this role is to support Oracle (11Gr2) RAC DB in a Linux environment. The duties include but are not limited to:

• Care and feeding of multiple database systems. An Oracle RAC running on Oracle Linux and SQL server clusters.
  • Deployment of packages within the DB
    • Proactively monitor/troubleshoot/report on issues
      • Creation, backup, and cloning of said databases
      • Be on-call for any production upset events (very limited after-hours issues)
        • Administer and patch Linux servers running RedHat and Ubuntu (Ubuntu has a mirrored apt server locally)
          • Support SMTP gateway
            • Familiarity with VMWare ESX clusters a big plus
