Summary

The Packaging General position performs a variety of tasks on the line including but not limited to case packing, tote dumping, palletizing and sanitation duties.

Key Responsibilities

Operates a product hopper to dump frozen product on the packaging line

Cleans and sanitizes food packaging equipment using water and chemicals

Ensures that cases are hand packed with the right count of bags and sealed properly

Manually hand stacks cases of finished product while following a stacking template

Other duties as assigned

Typical Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Other Information

Ability to work in refrigerated and frozen environments

Ability to stand for long periods of time

Ability to bend/stoop frequently

Ability to wear personal protective equipment including rain gear, hard hat, safety goggles

Ability to work with and around a variety of cleaning chemicals

Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Ability to work in fast paced environments
