What We Offer
- SUD Professional: $21-$26/hour DOE
- SUD Trainee: $17-$22/hour DOE
- $3,000 hiring bonus in first paycheck,$2,000bonus at 12
months.

What You'll Do:
- Ensure effective treatment processes through comprehensive
assessments, documenting patient progress, and complying with
treatment plan reviews
- Diagnose substance abuse, create treatment plans, and maintain
accurate records.
- Use the Patient Placement Criteria (PPC) of the American
Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) for treatment decisions and
provide counseling, case management, and healthcare
coordination
- Maintain contact logs, adhere to billing principles, and report
to courts when required
- Build relationships with organizations, train staff on
substance use disorders, and participate in co-occurring disorder
programs
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and help develop procedures
accordingly
We will hire either SUD Professional or SUD Trainee, depending on
the person's qualifications.
SUD ProfessionalQualifications
- Education : Associate of Arts (AA) Degree in Human Services,
Social Work, or Sociology. Completion of 90 quarter or 60-semester
credits from an approved school per WAC 246-811-030 may substitute
for the required Associate of Arts (AA) degree. A bachelor's degree
in human services, social work, psychology, or another relevant
field is preferred.
- Experience: Experience working with both youth and adults
preferred. Experience working in a multi-disciplinary setting is
preferred.
- Professional Licenses/Certificates/Registration : Current
Substance Use Disorder Professional license in the State of
Washington. Current First Aid/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
card or obtained within 45 days of employment. Bloodborne pathogens
training within 30 days of hire and annually after that. HIV/AIDS
and Hepatitis B training within 30 days of hire. Current Washington
State driver's license and proof of automobile liability insurance
coverage.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Bilingual
(English/Spanish). To receive bilingual differential pay, you must
demonstrate the ability to communicate at level 10 on the language
proficiency scale. Ability to exercise independent judgment and
discretion. Knowledge of community resources and demonstrated
skills in engagement and motivating individuals to improve their
health. Knowledge of cultural differences and ability to work
effectively with culturally diverse populations. Public speaking
and facilitation skills. Effective verbal, written, and listening
communication skills with individuals and groups. Basic proficiency
with computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge and skills in the use of electronic health records
preferred.
SUD TraineeQualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED and completion of, or
enrolled in, a Substance Use Disorder studies program. Note: Must
complete SUDP studies program within two years of employment.
- License/Certificate:
- State Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee Certification
in Washington State.
- HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis B training within 30 days of hire.
- Bloodborne pathogens training within 30 days of hire and
annually after that.
- Current First Aid/CPR card or obtained within 45 days of
hire.
- Current Driver's License and auto liability insurance.
