In this leadership role, you will manage an accounting and clerical department. The Controller plans and directs all accounting operational functions, handles the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluates accounting and internal control systems, and leads departmental staff. The Controller position is a full-time opportunity in the Pasco, Washington region.Your responsibilities- Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required- Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals- Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month- Direct finance department activities, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll- Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis- Ensure deliverables of self and team meet client expectations- Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies- Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective- Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts- Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection- Respond on items beyond formal job responsibilitiesBilling, Account Reconciliation, Cost Accounting, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Month End Close, Month-end Financial, Month-end Journal Entries, Annual Financial Reporting, Financial Analysis, Financial Statement, Financial Statement Preparation, Cash Flow Analysis, Cash Flow Forecasts, Cash Flow Management, Cash Flow Forecasts, Cash Flow AnalysisRobert Half Finance & Accounting, the world's leader in specialized financial staffing, provides exciting full-time opportunities in the areas of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more.
