Job Description SummaryResponsible for equipment lubrication, contamination control, inspection and proactive maintenance activities for all lubricated mechanical systems to improve and sustain equipment reliability. Mechanical equipment and systems including but not limited to: receiving, sorting, conveying, pumping, weighing, peeling, scrubbing, blanching, cutting, drying, battering and frying to assure proper operation. Advises supervisory personnel on lubrication requirements, installs and repairs lubrication equipment and systems, and performs lubrication activities that sustains equipment reliability to maximize plant production and uptime.Job DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned.Maintains and promotes safe work practices at all times, assures that safe work practices are being followed in all work groups, and actively participates in safety programs.Must understand and follow all applicable plant safety policies including but not limited to lockout / tagout procedures.Performs and documents line checks, corrective maintenance and preventative maintenance, including the lubrication and inspection of equipment to sustain equipment reliability.Performs and documents removal, installation, disassembly, repair, and assembly of equipment lubrication systems.Steward the preventive and predictive maintenance processes including planning, scheduling and lubrication analysis programs.Analyze available data to identify trends and top items affecting asset performance, develop monthly progress reports for areas under your responsibility.Furnish recommendations for equipment lubrication schedules; including special purpose lubrication products and specifications, lubrication task frequency and best practice lubrication methods.Evaluates lubrication systems for performance, performs adjustments, etc., as needed to assure optimal equipment performance and the production of quality potato products.Proficient in the use of tools and equipment for routine and non-routine functions.Performs routine and non-routine maintenance tasks assigned by a maintenance Lead, Maintenance Team Leader, Team Leader Production, or Plant Management and will perform repairs with minimal supervision.OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:Maintain 5S standards, (Sort, Set, Systematize, Shine and Sustain). Keep a neat, clean, orderly work area.Maintain proper storage and inventory of all lubricants, including upkeep of lube storage locations.Assist in Root Cause Analysis of premature failures of bearings, cylinders, pumps, and valves offering solutions to prevent reoccurrence.Applying ''best environmental practices'' to storage, transportation and disposal of all oils and lubricants, containers and residue.Follows instruction given in work logs ,equipment manuals, etc.Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material to develop or trace patterns of parts or uses templates.Welds, solders, bolts, rivets, screws, clips, caulks, or bonds materials together.Mechanical modification of systems as directed to facilitate sampling and filtration, and other proactive improvements.Draining, cleaning and filling of reservoirs. Changing filters and breathers on reservoirs.Operating filtration equipment.Lubrication with manual or automatic dispensing equipment.Maintenance of dispensing equipment and automatic systems.Labeling and tagging reservoirs, equipment, inventory and delivery containers.Update scheduling systems, including adding notes to system and submitting notifications for maintenance repairs and activities.Qualified to operate Powered Lift Trucks, Scissor / Man Lifts and Snorkel Lifts to facilitate the execution of their various job functions including but not limited to the maintenance, removalby Jobble
