Job Description Job Description More than just a job, it's a vocation Location: Our facility in Jefferson City, MO Employment Type: Regular Work Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM Position Overview: This role involves providing patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician, while adhering to the limits of your professional license. Key Responsibilities: Assist in evaluating patients and ensure their overall well-being. Administer medications and monitor patients for any adverse reactions to treatments. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, including self-care after discharge, holistic health needs, available resources, and follow-up care. Maintain a state of alertness and operate safely at all times. May conduct point-of-care testing in accordance with established policies and procedures. Perform additional tasks as assigned. Qualifications:Education: Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program or possess equivalent educational qualifications for licensing. Experience: No prior experience is necessary. Physical Demands: Regularly use verbal communication to convey information. Frequent standing and walking are required. Occasional lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling of objects weighing between 0-25 lbs. Regular sitting, reaching, and data entry tasks. Frequent visual acuity for near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances, including color differentiation. Regularly use olfactory senses to identify odors. Frequent auditory skills to receive verbal communication and detect alarms or machinery issues. Occasional lifting of objects weighing 25-50 lbs and moving patients. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping, and repetitive movements of hands and legs. Occasional driving may be required. Rarely involves crawling or running. Licensure and Certifications: State of Employment: Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by a Compact State.
