A Commissioning Project Engineer supports the delivery of data center capacity through managing project milestone auditing, calibration, and commissioning execution for new construction and Capital Improvement Projects (CIPP). Physical Requirements: • Walk job sites in uneven terrain • Work at heights and from ladders • Regularly walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl • Lift and/or move up to 49 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 50 pounds or more • Work in a noisy environment • Work in environments that are colder or hotter than a normal office environment • Work shifts longer than eight hours in duration with potential for night and weekends Career Development: • 12-month minimum timeline to advance to Commissioning Engineer (CxE) role • Structured three-phase mentoring program • Regular performance feedback and growth opportunities Work Environment: • Data center environment and construction sites • Lead and participate in meetings with various stakeholders including contractors, vendors, and internal teams • Mix of administrative and technical duties AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. Key job responsibilities • Manage project milestone auditing and calibration with partner teams • Create and maintain Procore tooling for project setup and tracking • Develop and implement Modeled Change Management (MCM) • Manage commissioning vendor (CxA) relationships and deliverables • Track and report project metrics and observations • Create Scope of Work (SOW) documents • Support commissioning execution for Phase 1 and Follow-on Room (FOR) projects • Coordinate with stakeholders across data center regions About the team Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
